Field day
Observed round
A field day on an actual set of drops, written up as a delay ledger the kilometre log never contains.
An observed round is the right commission when the paper is thin or when two dispatchers disagree about a single morning. One of us arrives at the depot, rides or follows with the driver’s consent, and writes what the log will not: a ten-minute wait at a supermarket receiving door, a walk-up in Sololaki with a crate, a reverse down a lane because a long van cannot turn, a second pass because the first name on the sheet was not at home.
The day produces a delay ledger and a marked sketch of that round only. It is not a full route study. Many firms book one observed day first, then decide whether a wider drawing is worth the deposit.
Tbilisi municipality days are a fixed 650 GEL, including the write-up. Days that start before dawn or run past ten in the evening are quoted. Outside the municipality we add agreed transport. Cancel by noon the day before or the day is charged; see Refunds.
